If you have ever looked inside your garden shed and found that your tools were a bit rusty and hard to use, then consider these tips before storing your garden tools in your garden shed.
1. Clean all the dirt off with the water hose getting down into all the little spaces where dirt can hide.
2. Wipe off the excess water with a clean rag or old towel. Never leave water on your garden tools before you put them away. This will quickly cause them to rust.
3. Next you can spray all the metal surfaces of your garden tools with a silicone
or lubricant spray that displaces water and helps prevent rust.
4. Finally you can now put your garden tools back in their proper space.
The next time you open your garden shed, everything will be in great condition, and in it's place. All you have to do is grab the right garden tool for the job and enjoy your gardening tasks.
